I've been reading this book , again…It's the second time around for this one. Time has a way of changing your perspective on your environment, and yourself. The message in this book is powerful because, in my experience, mediocrity is a normal thing for most part. It's safe, predictable, and widely accepted. These are the very characteristics I'm actively hurtling away from. They yield the same results each time, and leaves little to no room for chance when this thinking is in play. Effecting change can be difficult, be it's certainly not impossible. This book is great for motivation. You know, the motivation needed to address the stuff that occupies space in your head, but never gets a chance be in the spotlight? This is where its at! * Note-To-Self : Approach the light, turn it on, and direct that splendent beam where you see fit.

Tim Saccenti “Portraits #01” on Bleep…

Image
Yea, I think I'm gonna cop this . Seems like a cool collab,  and well worth the bread. Here's the skinny straight from Bleep . New York-based photographer Tim Saccenti has worked with such iconic musicians as Animal Collective, Battles, Depeche Mode, Erykah Badu and El-P. Portraits #01 is the first in a series of self-published photo books examining different aspects of his artistic practice as part of an ongoing collaboration with the Build design studio. The book includes Tim Saccenti's breath-taking and personal images of musicians including Flying Lotus, Oneohtrix Point Never, Carl Craig, Laurel Halo, Tricky, Sparkle Horse, M83, Mykki Blanco and Ariel Pink. A stunning collection, every bit as special and innovative as the music those he has photographed create.
